In observance of International Mother Earth Day 2025, themed “Our Power, Our Planet,” the Zonal Agriculture Office, Rangat organized an consciousness programme on Natural Farming for villages beneath the Sundergarh Gram Panchayat. The occasion passed off on the Community Hall, Adazig.
The programme aimed to advertise environmentally sustainable agricultural practices amongst native farmers and was attended by key native representatives and group members.
The occasion was inaugurated by Ms. Sarla Krishnan, Pradhan of Sundergarh, who served because the chief visitor. She was joined by Mr. Vijay Mondal, Up-Pramukh of Adazig; representatives from the Block Development Office and AH & VS Department; and numerous farmer individuals.
Ms. Shirly Thomas, Joint Director (Agriculture)/Assistant Director (Agriculture), Rangat, welcomed the gathering and outlined the goals of the programme, stressing the urgency of addressing environmental challenges by means of sustainable farming strategies.
In her handle, Ms. Krishnan underlined the significance of such consciousness programmes in selling the sustainable growth of each human well-being and environmental well being. Echoing her sentiments, visitor of honour Mr. Mondal acknowledged, “Our planet is not just a resource but a living entity that sustains all life. Protecting it is essential for our well-being and that of future generations.”
Mr. Kanhaya Lal Prasad, Agriculture Officer, Rangat, supplied an in depth clarification of the core rules of Natural Farming. Representatives from the Block Development Office highlighted the broader scope and significance of the motion and in addition spoke on the antagonistic impacts of plastic on the atmosphere.
