In a big transfer to reinforce public transportation in Nicobar District, Mr. Amit Kale Maruthirao, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, flagged off two new buses on the STS Unit, Car Nicobar, on March 19, 2025. The occasion was attended by Mr. Akash Kishen, Executive Engineer (APWD), and Mr. Banbir Das, Assistant Engineer (APWD).
The initiative, organized by the STS Unit, Car Nicobar, was carried out beneath the supervision of Mr. Shekar, Assistant Engineer (Mechanical). The introduction of those buses is a part of the Administration’s ongoing efforts to improve transport infrastructure and supply secure, dependable, and environment friendly commuting choices for the residents of Car Nicobar. The buses will cater to the wants of every day commuters, together with college students, office-goers, and most people.
